Simon’s enthusiasm and dedication for his work is infectious. Working tirelessly to ensure that all details are included and checked are amongst his greatest assets. His desire to go the extra mile assisting his peers as well as his efforts in supporting our younger generations of staff has made him an obvious candidate for this award.

Nathan Roberts, Senior Design Manager, North West

Nathan is our Head of Design. He has had a great year in terms of his involvement and ultimate impact in some critical, key areas of our business. His design knowledge and expertise aligned with his hard work and commitment have improved dramatically our performance in preconstruction, on site and in dealing with customer care and legacy defects.

He has often gone over and above in terms of his individual effort. He is an integral and essential member of the team

Kirsty Caffrey, Bid Manager, Framework Team

Kirsty has been involved in every iteration of the SCAPE national bid during her time with the business, which is a prize that has narrowly eluded us. Her knowledge of the organisation and tenacious approach to the bid really helped us secure our place for the first time on the national framework. Working with a large and diverse bid team, Kirsty worked hard to organise the bid process, which has resulted in us securing a key route to market.

This award has been made to Barry who is an unsung hero; consistently achieving brilliant results with excellent feedback from customers, supply chain and team members. People are always pleased to have Barry as part of their team and he remains relentlessly professional and thorough in everything he does, delivering again and again to deadlines and beyond expectations.

Susie Barden, Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Southern Home Counties

Susie makes a real difference to everything that she does. She contributes, not just to her immediate sphere of influence, but outside it, and we’re better for it. Her stature has grown through her professionalism and diligence – when she speaks people listen. She is also managing what potentially is a very difficult account – a significant amount of variations for one of our most important customers. Her hard work has meant that we recently scored 10 on commercial management with the customer.

At our recent CEQ our Customer said of Susie;

“She is very good at communicating appropriately and in a timely fashion. This has been one of the best commercial experiences I have had on a recent project.”

Jo Bairdow, Business Development Co-ordinator

Jo has worked for Morgan Sindall for eight years. In that time she has consistently supported her colleagues, both professionally and most prominently with their wellbeing.

Jo was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2021. She underwent a double mastectomy and chemotherapy. Her first response – a fundraising campaign to raise money for those with the same diagnosis. She has continued to work when she can throughout her diagnosis and her treatment.

She is a wonderful mother to her two sons Oscar and Charlie, and an absolute inspiration of a working mum to her colleagues.
