From discovery to delivery — tell the world

Despite the UK’s leadership in biomedical research, much of its commercial potential has yet to be realised. George Freeman, a veteran of both venture capital and government, highlighted a national paradox:

If you flew in from Mars and looked at the global healthcare ecosystem, you'd say 'the UK should be dominating,' yet we aren't commercialising at scale.”

The so-called Golden Triangle of London, Oxford, and Cambridge is a globally significant cluster. He called London “an extraordinary biomedical engine,” with world-leading institutions like UCL, Imperial, and King’s anchoring clusters across White City, Paddington, and Whitechapel. Yet London is sometimes undervalued in the conversation. He wanted to see better domestic integration of the sector - and a more cohesive approach to international storytelling.
