Lots of fun activities

We're very grateful to our supply chain and training partners for coming together and creating lots of fun activities for our visitors to enjoy and be inspired by.

From VR demolition simulations to sandpit diggers, drone flying to brickwork challenges, the centre was transformed into a hub of discovery and excitement.

There were ride-on construction vehicles for the under-7s – and first aid demonstrations from St. John Ambulance. The sun even made a welcome appearance enabling the youngsters to take advantage of outdoor activities a bouncy castle.

A&B Engineering Fairground Games

Based outside in the sun, A&B enticed visitors over with a ‘coconut shy’ game and colourful activities for youngsters. They also provided some games which enabled visitors to try their hand at plumbing and electricals.

Altro Creative Workshop

Speedy Hire engaged families with an interactive display of professional tools and site equipment, helping to demystify how they’re used in real-life construction settings. Their team also spoke with young people about the variety of careers available in the hire industry – from logistics to engineering.

Cara Group Brickwork Challenge and Bouncy Castle

Cara Group and We Are Footprint joined forces to provide a brickwork challenge and the chance to take away a certificate of achievement. Cara Group also supported the event by funding a bouncy castle.

Rebecca Sutherland, Social Value Manager, Cara Group said;

“We were proud to be part of such a positive community event. From the brickwork challenge to the bouncy castle, it was brilliant to see families learning, laughing and getting stuck in together. Encouraging young people to try something hands-on – and walk away with a certificate – is a great way to spark early interest in construction.”

HA Civils Outdoor Dig Zone

Huyton Civils created an outdoor dig zone for under-fives as well as providing fun giveaways including hard hats and PPE to inspire youngsters.

E&M Brennan Ride on Vehicle Bonanza

E&M Brennan funded a ride-on construction vehicle experience for younger children and gave away mini PPE party packs.

Leach Structural Steelwork Building Games

Leach Structural Steelwork entertained attendees with a giant Tetris building game and Meccano assembly activities.

Karl Hunter, Pre-construction Director, Leach said:

"It was fantastic to see so many families come together to explore new skills and career possibilities. Events like this make a real difference – they break down barriers and show that construction is a welcoming, inclusive industry. We’re proud to have played a part in inspiring the next generation."

Speedy Hire Tools Workshop

Speedy Hire gave young people the chance to explore a wide range of tools and equipment up close, sparking curiosity about how they're used on site. Their team also shared insights into different career paths available within the company and the wider hire industry.

Rhodar VR and drone experience

Rhodar brought along demolition VR and drone flying experiences, gave away educational construction books, and offered career information, advice and guidance.

“We’re delighted to have been able to support Morgan Sindall’s event today along with other supply chain partners. We really enjoyed it - it’s been a great way to introduce young people to what we do in demolition and environmental services. Our VR digger simulation and drone demonstrations were a big hit with the kids, and it’s been brilliant to see so much interest from the next generation. Who knows – we might have met a future recruit today!”

Wingate Circuit Class

Wingate sparked curiosity with a hands-on electrical circuit activity, giving young minds a taste of what it’s like to work in the world of electrics.
