Executive Summary

Together, building operations and construction now account for nearly 40% of global energy relate CO₂ emissions. This is why we believe it is so important that we work together to reduce the impact that we, and the wider industry, are having on the environment. This is our first update on our journey in the East region towards our 2030 net zero aspiration.

We demonstrate how we're utilising our industry leading in-house CarboniCa tool to influence the design of buildings, which has led to the reduction of thousands of tonnes of carbon on projects delivered since 2021. Discover CarboniCa here

The key to facilitating long-term and sustainable change is education. We are working with Suffolk New College to support them in developing local talent, using their Net Zero Skills Centre.
