Inspection and Test Plan
The key document to plan and manage quality activities are the Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) which the contract team is responsible to develop. The scope of tests and their frequencies will conform to the specification explicit or implicit requirements. ITPs should indicate the hold points where physical inspection or written approval is required before proceeding.
The management of ITPs will be via Site Information Management System (SIMS), unless otherwise approved.
The project manager will coordinate development, acceptance, issue, review and update of these key documents (Quality Plan and ITPs). The key documents are to be developed with all relevant people, usually during Quality Pre-start meetings.
Conduct quality pre-start meeting (PM FRM 40 Quality Pre-start Meeting) with relevant project team members to ensure the project team is aware of their responsibilities to carry out quality inspections and tests as prescribed in PM FRM 26 Inspection and Test Plan
Conduct quality pre-start with the supply chain ensuring quality management representative is present to discuss and communicate the requirements and expectations PM FRM 41 Subcontractors Quality Prestart Meeting
Project team should review and assess submitted documentation from subcontractors for adequacy
Ensure supply chain quality inductions have been undertaken and quality toolbox talks have been held for critical areas
Record results as appropriate (available inspection check-sheets in iMS), these documents and records are generally developed and kept electronically in Site Information Management System (SIMS)
