In July 2025, we installed a Knowledge Quad on site. This is a multi-purpose training and learning facility located within a live Morgan Sindall construction site. It reflects our commitment to inclusivity, which offers a range of activities designed to support individuals furthest from the labour market and to introduce construction careers to underrepresented groups.
We partnered with Skills People Group to deliver a second round of the Civils Groundworks Accredited Bookcamp with 11 participants. The remaining part of the course is held on a plant-operating site.We partnered with Youth Build UK to support their NEET construction programme by providing our Knowledge Quad and supported 13 young people with a site talk and tour.
We have held college talks and delivered site tours to New City College, Hackney Campus students. We supported an exploring options event at Stepney All Saints School, engaging with a group of seven enthusiastic Year 10 students. The session focused on helping students explore career pathways within the construction sector. In partnership with Construction Youth Trust, we supported an education engagement activity for students at Canary Wharf College. Several Year 10 students took part in the ‘hidden careers’ activity, where learners asked volunteers a series of questions to enable them to guess what their occupation was. The volunteers could only answer with ‘yes’ or ‘no’ and some students were very close to guessing their roles within construction. At the end of the session, each volunteer revealed their role and explained further what their jobs entailed.
We were delighted to welcome MUSE to 17 Columbus Courtyard along with two of their T-Level students who are eager to deepen their understanding of construction in action. Quantity surveyor Callum Smith led a guided tour of the live site, giving students a first-hand look at how complex sustainable developments take shape, from planning through to delivery. We are passionate about supporting the next generation of talent and strengthening our partnerships with organisations like MUSE who share our vision for skills development and innovation in the built environment.
