On every SCAPE project, we promise to deliver at least 20% of contract value delivered in monetised social value.
This is delivered through reduced carbon, environmental improvements, our standard social value toolkit and consistent contribution to the Community Legacy Programme.
At the beginning of every project a social value charter is agreed in collaboration with the customer.
Upon completion, social value monetisation is calculated using the the national TOMS through the Social Value Portal.

Since 2018, we have partnered with Switch-Up and the Nottingham School of Boxing - two charities, both part of the Marcellus Baz Group - to support disadvantaged young people.
Our partnership is helping instil confidence, tolerance, discipline and self-esteem through boxing and mentorship, with the goal of steering people away from crime and into further education, training or employment.
The Porch in Oxford is a homeless shelter, which during lockdown, found themselves unable to fund a vital refurbishment needed for when the doors reopened in June 2021.
Our team donated 120 volunteer hours to completely overhaul their kitchen and dining facilities, making ready their drop in centre for when they flung open their doors again in June 2021 as lockdown eased.
Daniel Sherlock was about to leave the forces, but after his job opportunity vanished, he was swiftly connected with Morgan Sindall Construction via BuildForce.
After completing an initial two weeks work experience, Daniel secured a three-month contract, and then a full time role as a site manager. He is now one of the operations team at our Norwich Castle restoration.
Morgan Sindall Construction has developed the Knowledge Quad to be a multi-purpose learning space that is driven by innovation, people development and social value.
The facilities are deployed across the UK in association with live regional projects. Key to the programme is the hosting of live construction activities that will allow participants to gain valuable onsite experience and employment support sessions.
The locations are also utilised for customers, social enterprises, charities and schools to visit - to better understand a live construction site and the industry opportunities.

To ensure every person working on your scheme can deliver on the targets outlined earlier, we are embarking upon a fully comprehensive supply chain accreditation system.
This will upskill subcontractors and suppliers on all the toolkits available for social value, sustainability and much more.
In order to achieve accreditation, they will be required to complete a licenced training module online, giving you the assurance they are ready to hit the ground running.
Local, experienced, market tested.
On all projects we use a tailored local supply chain to maximise spend back into the local economy.
Targeting the highest standards for your project is vital and the dashboard of KPI's with SCAPE and Morgan Sindall Construction is rigorous.
Every SCAPE project will be measured against 24 performance indicators. This will drive high levels of performance, backed by clear evidence.
Once agreed, the PI's are measured and uploaded using Performance 365 - a system that acts as a live measure of what indicators are on target and which need improvement. The performance indicators consist of:
