CarboniCa is our intelligent externally verified whole life carbon calculator tool.
It allows our project teams to estimate, manage and reduce whole life carbon emissions through the design, construction, and in use phases.
CarboniCa will be used on every SCAPE Scotland project to provide you with reliable data about the carbon footprint of your project, so you can challenge business as usual to deliver better carbon outcomes.
Supporting CarboniCa is our Carbon and Lifecycle Influence Pack which helps customers to define their carbon requirements.
It is amongst the most sophisticated and completetools that I have seen, whichnicely balances complexity andsimplicity for most use cases.
Easy to use, no expertise needed
Robust with clear logic and method
Certified by numerous third parties
Customisable to your project
On every SCAPE project, we promise to deliver at least 30% of contract value delivered in monetised social value.
This is delivered through reduced carbon, environmental improvements, our standard social value toolkit and consistent contribution to the Community Legacy Programme - The Catalyst.
At the beginning of every project a social value charter is agreed in collaboration with the customer.
Upon completion, social value monetisation is calculated using the the national TOMS through the Social Value Portal and Social Value Bank.

Morgan Sindall Construction has formed an exclusive joint venture with Tigers to create apprenticeships in construction and civil engineering for young people aged 16+ working on projects in Scotland.
This unique programme will provide our apprentices with a holistic learning and development programme. This whole-person approach will enable our apprentices to break down barriers to their development and develop a wide range of construction skills.
After being unemployed for seven months, our Hilltop Primary School project in Airdrie secured Robert Simpson a fixed term contract as a gateman through Routes to Work South.
His hard work, dedication and exceptional customer service secured Robert a full time position with our business. He is now receiving a wide range of training and development and recently won our Exceptional Customer Service Allstar Award.
Generations Working Together support the development and innovation of intergenerational practices across the UK, leading to greater understanding and respect between generations.
It's our vision on all projects, that working together with GWT we will support those living in financial hardship, ill health or social isolation. Included with this will be a CPD training course for key stakeholders on intergenerational practice.
Catalyst is a unique collaboration between private and public sectors and local communities to create economic growth and carbon reduction opportunities.
It will create economies of scale by galvanising individual effort and leave an active and self supporting legacy beyond our projects.
The catalyst also directly responds to PPN05/21 demonstrating intent to reduce inequality and tackle climate change in communities.
It combines like-minded individuals and organisations in a community with a common purpose of improving people's life chances, reducing harm to the planet and identifying the value of actions.

To ensure every person working on your scheme can deliver on the targets outlined earlier, we are embarking upon a fully comprehensive supply chain accreditation system.
This will upskill subcontractors and suppliers on all the toolkits available for social value, sustainability and much more.
In order to achieve accreditation, they will be required to complete a licenced training module online, giving you the assurance they are ready to hit the ground running.
Local, experienced, market tested.
On all projects we use a tailored local supply chain to maximise spend back into the local economy.
Targeting the highest standards for your project is vital and the dashboard of KPI's with SCAPE Scotland and Morgan Sindall Construction is rigorous.
Every SCAPE Scotland project will be measured against 24 performance indicators. This will drive high levels of performance, backed by clear evidence.
Once agreed, the PI's are measured and uploaded using Performance 365 - a system that acts as a live measure of what indicators are on target and which need improvement. The performance indicators consist of:
