In the second Next Generation Roundtable, the panel of future industry talent explored what lessons can be drawn from the COVID-19 pandemic and how the challenges of the past 18 months have demonstrated the significant benefits that can be achieved through multi-disciplinary collaboration within the construction industry.
For many young professionals, including the NGB, the COVID-19 pandemic came near the start of what will be a long career. It is therefore inevitable that the experience of 2020-21 will have a significant influence on the mindset of this generation of workers. As this roundtable shows, the restrictions brought about as a result of the pandemic has instilled in our participants an understanding of the importance of collaboration that runs far deeper than previous generations may have experienced during the early stages of their respective careers.
