Everyone has an entitlement to private healthcare, the level of cover is depednet on grade. The scheme is provided by Healix and is administrated on our behalf by MEC Group Medical Insurance. If you would like to make an amendment to your policy, amendments can be made at the policy renewal date in April. Your Business Unit HR Administrator will contact you about this. For details of what is covered as part of the plan, take a look at the Healix website. The Company pays the cost of the cover and you only pay the BIK tax for your entitlement. You do have the option to increase your cover and you would pay the difference in the cover if you upgraded.
As of August 2023, the business has changed how these are administered - you will no longer be required to obtain a voucher from your HR team.
Eye tests/glasses: The business will pay for an eye test and if applicable to you, £75 towards the cost of glasses or contact lenses if they are required for VDU purposes. If anyone is unable to pay up front they should discuss with their HR representative.
Flu vaccinations: If you are not eligible for a free flu vaccination, but you would still like one, please purchase your vaccination (which can be done at any number of pharmacies, Boots, supermarkets etc...) and submit the receipt to Concur where the cost can be reimbursed as part of your expenses.
Nudge is an personal independent finance app, on hand to give you personalised financial updates, and information about savings and borrowing. This service is confidential and accessible through EriC.
Financial worries can be a serious concern, and can have a real impact on our mental health. To support colleagues who may be struggling with a financial issue, or who are keen to access additional advice and support, we offer free access to Nudge – an independent personal finance app.
Nudge is on hand to provide personalised financial updates, and information about savings and borrowing. It is not a marketing tool, nor is it trying to give you financial advice. It’s about helping you better understand complex matters – should you feel you need it. It’s also 100% confidential giving you peace of mind if you’re learning about sensitive matters.
We automatically enrol employees to Nudge unless they choose to opt out. We will only share your employee number, name and work email address with Nudge. You can then choose how much (or little) information you then add to your personal profile. You can do this with the knowledge that nudge is a secure, anonymised and an encrypted service - your personal data is protected.
